Visibility matters. CVN is constantly looking for ways to lift up this network and member programs.
A few months ago, I was a panelist during the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships weekly call. The focus of the call was the 9/11 Day of Service, and it was organized by AmeriCorps.
While many AmeriCorps staff know and respect CVN, this visibility allowed one more to be inspired. Shortly after the panel, an AmeriCorps staff person reached out to invite CVN to be part of Volunteer Match’s efforts to increase the number of organizations featured at this critical time. Volunteer Match is a major leader in the field of volunteerism. I was able to meet Volunteer Match’s President a few years ago, and he was very affirming of CVN Member Programs and this network.
CVN can now be found through Volunteer Match. As we learn about the opportunities associated with this visibility, we will work to help members even more. In addition, if applicants are finding members through Volunteer Match, can you let me know? That will help us be more strategic!Visit Our Volunteer Match Page
