CVN Supports 9/11 Day of Service

We are pleased to be part of this significant moment of reflection, remembrance, and action

In recognition of the 20 year anniversary of the tragedies of September 11, 2001, organizations and communities are marking this day and serving in many different ways.

CVN is pleased to be part of a large coalition of leading nonprofits, universities, veterans and military family organizations, and faith-based groups that are helping build awareness for this year’s 20th anniversary of the 9/11 Day of Service. We hope knowing about this coalition might inspire you, and maybe even lead you to connect with other participating groups in your area at some point.

Of special note is a one-hour national television special entitled Shine A Light that will air the evening of September 11, 2021, at 7:00 PM ET on CNN. Shine A Light will be hosted by CNN anchor and chief Washington correspondent Jake Tapper. The program will include discussions with young adults affiliated with the nonprofit Tuesday’s Children who lost parents on 9/11. Joining them will be musical artists H.E.R., Brad Paisley and Common, who will each perform as part of the broadcast.

You can join in on #ShineALight by participating in a good deed for a family member, friend, neighbor, stranger, or even for your entire community!
