Operation TEACH

Goal of Program

Operation TEACH seeks to develop a corps of highly motivated and committed young educators to meet the needs of Baltimore area Catholic Schools.

Type of Placement

Operation TEACH participants are hired directly by a Baltimore area Catholic school, while living in community, engaging in spirituality, and earning a graduate degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University

Approximately 20 participants

Requirements

Applicants should have the desire to teach, grow spiritually, and live in community with others. Participants must have an undergraduate degree in a teachable content area or education and a car.

Financial Arrangements

Participants earn a yearly stipend of $13,700 paid directly from placement school, are provided health insurance, and live in subsidized community housing.

Living Arrangements

Program participants live in community housing provided by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Participants pay monthly rent and live in community with others.

Training

Operation TEACH participants earn a graduate degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University and receive ongoing support from program administration and placement schools.
