Goal of Program
VIDES+USA volunteer missioners accompany especially marginalized and at-risk youth and women to become productive members of society. As they share life in Christ, they promote education, development, social justice, and solidarity. They learn the value of generosity in giving of themselves and incorporating spirituality into the rhythm of everyday living. VIDES Volunteer Missioners serve together with members of the Salesian Family (Priests, Brothers, Sisters, Cooperators, etc.) VIDES+USA is part of VIDES International, the lay volunteer program sponsored by the Salesian Sisters in 42 countries throughout the world.
