Vincentian Volunteers Limited, The

Goal of Program

The Vincentian Volunteer program aims to create opportunities and provide inspiration for young people to serve those in need, to live together in a small Christian community and deepen their Christian faith.

Type of Placement

Working in homeless centres. Centres for asylum seekers and refugees. SVP shops. Schools for children with visual impairment. Residential home for men undergoing alcohol and drug rehabilitation. Centre for the visually impaired and those who have suffered a recent loss of sight. Working in parishes in deprived areas.

Manchester and Liverpool, England

Service Length

10 months Sept 2022- July 2023

Program Size

Between 8 and 12 volunteers.

Requirements

Christians of any denomination aged between 18-35, no dependents, commitment to service and community living, open to living simply.

Financial Arrangements

Basic living and food allowance.

Living Arrangements

Communal living with separate bedrooms.

Training

Orientation and formation weekends.
