Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC)

Goal of Program: Becoming a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) is a journey for anyone — across faiths and spiritual backgrounds — looking to dedicate a year of their life to advancing social justice, serving their community, and putting their beliefs into action. JVs find personal transformation through service to others, permanently altering the way they see the world.

Jesuit Volunteers commit to a year of service within agencies at the front line of creating social change. JVs live in intentional community with one another, while engaging in the values of spirituality, simple living, social justice, and community.

We offer a transformational journey discovered via two paths – Jesuit Volunteer Corps and Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest. Hear from Jesuit Volunteers directly to begin your discernment. Applications for the '25-26 program year open in late September.

Placement Type: JVC offers a wide range of placement types, most of which typically fall into the following categories; addiction recovery, children and youth services, community development, developmental/physical disabilities, education, employment, environmental stewardship, healthcare services, housing development and social services, hunger relief, immigration and refugee services, legal services, ministry, shelter and transitional housing, and women's issues.
