Holy Spirit Lay Missionary Program
Goal of Program
The goal of the Holy Spirit Lay Missionary Program is to invite lay persons to discover, utilize and affirm their gifts and skills while reaching out to and serving people in need according to the charism of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit and nurtured by their spirituality.
Type of Placement
* Adult Education: English as a Second Language, computer literacy, and others. * Skill building programs: sewing skills, knitting skills, arts and crafts, guitar lessons, and others. * After school tutoring for children. * Child care. * Peace building programs for adults and children: Bible courses, retreats, and a Summer Peace Camp. * Social services: support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

Service Length
Short-term: 2 weeks - 6 months. Long-term: 9 - 12 months.

Requirements
Age 18 and up. Enjoy good physical and mental health. Please contact us for more information about the requirements.
Financial Arrangements
A small stipend may be provided to volunteers involved in intensive volunteer service.
Living Arrangements
Room and board may be provided for single women involved in intensive volunteer service, where they will have the opportunity to live and share community life with the Sisters.
Training
Orientation and training provided on topics relevant to the specific volunteer position.
