Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ

The mission of the PHJC Volunteer Program is to offer Christian women (men for short immersions and and college groups) unique opportunities in a faith-based context to live out their Baptismal call to share God's presence in the world. Volunteers are inspired by openness to the Spirit, simplicity, community, sustainability, and dignity and respect for all. Our program seeks to meet the needs and interests of both the individual and the ministry served. Volunteers live in intentional community with our Sisters.

Redeemer Ministry Corps

Redeemer Ministry Corps is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Redeemer whose vision is to render assistance and provide a healing presence to vulnerable populations. RMC volunteers participate in this mission, using their gifts and talents in service to others through ministries in health care, elder care, sustainable farming, education and social service, tending to the needs of those who experience aging, terminal illness, sickness, and poverty in all its forms. To provide high-standard academic opportunities to a multi-cultural student body. St. Francis of Assisi School serves a Native American community - the Jicarilla Apache Nation - in Dulce, New Mexico, and the people of Lumberton - a rural ranching community. VIDES+USA volunteer missioners accompany marginalized and at-risk youth and women to become productive members of society. As they share life in Christ, they promote education, development, social justice, and solidarity. They learn the value of generosity in giving of themselves and incorporating spirituality into the rhythm of everyday living. VIDES Volunteer Missioners serve together with members of the Salesian Family (Priests, Brothers, Sisters, Cooperators, etc.) VIDES+USA is part of VIDES International, the lay volunteer program sponsored by the Salesian Sisters in 42 countries throughout the world.

Volunteer Ministries - United Church of Christ (UCC)

UCC Volunteer Ministries offers 3 full-time volunteer programs for leadership development. The Young Adult Service Communities (11 months) and Summer Communities of Service (10 weeks), place groups of 2-6 interns in their 20s with a local host program for direct service or justice advocacy, living in intentional community, and leadership development for faith-based justice.The Partners in Service program for individuals and couples ages 19 and older to serve with an individual agency to increase its capacity to serve. White Violet Center for Eco-Justice

White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, founded by the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, exists to teach, care, and inspire for all Creation. Grounded in an understanding of Providence Spirituality as hope and healing, the center offers leadership and education in the preservation, restoration and reverent use of all natural resources for a just and sustainable future. Using organic agriculture, eco-justice education and social advocacy, White Violet Center strives to promote an awareness and way of living which support all life. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is home to the motherhouse of the Sisters of Providence, the spiritual and physical home of the Congregation of Catholic women religious who created and sponsor this ministry.
