Cap Corps Positions Available : ER Nurse Assistant, Refugee Resettlement, & Homeless Advocate

Cap Corps is a year-long service program sponsored by the Capuchin Franciscan Friars with locations in Cleveland, OH and Washington, DC. Volunteers commit to living simply in intentional community with other volunteers while working full time at their service placement. The spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi and fellowship with the Capuchin Friars are central to this experience of community and service.

Cap Corps has available positions for the upcoming service year that starts in August 2021:

ER Nurse Assistant – the Cap Corps Volunteer assists in all facets of patient care in the Emergency Department of a hospital in downtown Cleveland. The role is ideal for someone going to graduate school for medicine or nursing.

Migration & Refugee Services Health Care Navigator – the Cap Corps Volunteer supports newly arrived refugees navigate their new home with special attention to their health care needs including helping them schedule and attend the appointment for the mandatory medical physical soon after arrival.

Homeless Advocacy Liaison – the Cap Corps Volunteers provides direct service to people who are homeless through street outreach. He/She also works with a supportive staff to eliminate the root causes of homelessness through organizing, advocacy, and education.
