Assumption Mission Associates is seeking volunteers for our domestic sites – Worcester, MA & Chaparral, NM.

Worcester, MA is located 40 miles west of Boston and is the second-largest city in the state. The Religious of the Assumption Sisters have ministered in the city for over 25 years serving immigrant populations through afterschool mentoring programs, ESOL classes, community gardening, and much more!

Chaparral, NM is located near El Paso, TX, and our sisters have been welcoming refugees at their home parish and helping them connect with their families here in the States. Our volunteers work in the local elementary school tutoring youth in English and forming relationships in the classroom, after-school activities, and parish. The volunteers also have opportunities to serve in other projects that aid refugees upon arrival in the States (Catholic Charities, Las Americas, Annunciation House.

Our volunteers share life and faith with our Sisters and their wider community of friends and parishioners.

Truly a unique opportunity, a small and intimate program. We offer a monthly stipend, room, and a $2000.00 end-of-service year award. Our foundress, St. Marie Eugenie said, “Each of us has a mission on earth”, come find yours with AMA!
