Empower Those Experiencing Houselessness – AmeriCorps positions

Do you have writing and editing skills and desire to empower those who are experiencing homelessness? JVC Northwest has open positions providing editorial support for those experiencing homelessness who are selling street newspapers in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.

As part of the service year, Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps members live in community with three to seven other volunteers and explore the values of spirituality/reflection, community, simple living, and social and ecological justice. Benefits include housing, room and board, medical insurance, an AmeriCorps Education Award of over $6,000, support throughout the year, retreats, personal and professional development, and connection to a vast network of former JVs and AmeriCorps alumni.
