Mercy Volunteers promote social change through compassionate service as nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, patient advocates, healthcare administrators, and spiritual care assistants in communities experiencing injustice. Volunteers in the spirit of mutuality in hospitals and community clinics throughout the United States and Guyana, South America. The individuals and families served include people experiencing homelessness, aging, immigrants and refugees, women and children, and those who are under- or un-insured.
Volunteers live together in community with a commitment to social justice, spiritual growth, and a simple and sustainable lifestyle. Mercy Volunteers are provided with housing, transportation, monthly stipends, quarterly retreats, and more! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a priority application deadline of January 22, 2023.
