Program Timing: Ongoing / Location: Kansas City, MO

We still have an opening for our placement at Bishop Sullivan Center in Kansas City, Missouri. You’ll work and walk with people who are hungry, looking for work, or need temporary rent or utility assistance. During your term of service you’ll have the opportunity to work as a waiter/waitress at Bishop Sullivan Center’s One City Cafe’ at least one night a week, distribute food in their food pantry, assist people in accessing rent or utility assistance, and help people develop job skills and find employment. This is a great placement if you have an interest in social work, food and hunger issues, community building, employment counseling, or nonprofit management.

You will live in community with other volunteers and have the opportunity to grow in your faith while living a life of service and simplicity. You receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, room, board, transportation costs, and an education award at the end of your service.
