Make an Impact as a Compassionate Hospitality Monitor

Program Timing: Ongoing / Location: San Francisco, CA

Vincentian Service Corps West is still seeking a Hospitality Monitor at The Gubbio Project in San Francisco. We need enthusiastic, compassionate applicants who wish to have a large impact on the homeless citizens and community cared for by The Gubbio Project. You will work directly with fellow Hospitality Monitors with oversight by the Program Manager and be involved in every aspect of The Gubbio Project’s work and service. You will also work in the office of the Executive Director. One of the great benefits of serving at The Gubbio Project is that you will leave with a depth of knowledge about all aspects of the work (homelessness, solidarity, accompaniment, harm reduction principles, outreach, social justice, mental health care, self-care and many other topics. Under the mentoring of the Executive Director and serving alongside with the staff of The Gubbio Project, you will be enriched personally and professionally.
We are accepting applications through May as our program Orientation begins in August in San Francisco. This opportunity offers the challenge (and joy!) to live in community with other volunteers, gain real-world work experience, and grow spiritually in a supportive, enriching environment. You will receive housing, health insurance, monthly reimbursements for simple living expenses, and an AmeriCorps Education Award (if you qualify). Minimum commitment is six months OR 11 months. Visit us at www.vscwest.org or APPLY NOW by contacting Susan Eigenbrodt at [email protected] or [email protected] 818.640.4364.
