Posted by Saint Francis Xavier Lay Missionary Society: Our formation/training program starts in the S.F. Bay Area July 17. Flights leave for mission work in Asia in September, so contact us A.S.A.P. at [email protected].
This unique 3-month program is intended to familiarize lay Catholics with the experience of missionary life in Asia. During your time in Asia, you will have the opportunity to engage in various short-term ministries with young adults, while serving as a bold and compassionate witness of your faith amidst the excitement and challenges of a foreign culture. Participation in the Spring Mission Experience is an excellent way to discern if you are called to serve as a novice lay missionary in our year program.
We provide: Formation program expenses (room, board, tuition, transportation, materials)

Local accommodations in Asia
Emergency & travel health insurance
Monthly stipend to cover basic cost of living expenses
Regular funding for materials & other costs associated with the ministry
