Augustinian Volunteers are looking for long-term volunteers to serve from August 2020 to June 2021. The AVs have openings for those seeking a unique opportunity to serve in social services. The volunteer(s) serves in various capacities depending on the service placement. Some of which are the following:
• The volunteer serves as an Administrative Coordinator overseeing the selection, orientation, training and scheduling of volunteers, as well as community outreach and education. They are involved in all of ADROP’s programs including the Unity Health clinic, distance learning as St. Anthony of Padua School and a variety of restorative justice initiatives.
• The volunteer serves with the Asylee Outreach Project as an Asylee Navigator, providing initial assessment, information, and case management services to clients. They accompany clients experiencing difficulties in accessing services and advocates against structural barriers in government systems that hinder asylee self-sufficiency.
