Urgent opportunity to serve on the border in Chaparral, NM! Our Religious of the Assumption Sisters are working with many refugees and assisting them in connecting with family members here in the U.S. Also, our volunteers provide vital assistance in the middle school to help new students who have just entered the country learn English. Our Sisters also visit the elderly and visit the local prisons and detention centers. A basic level of Spanish is required. We provide a $400.00 a month stipend and a $2000.00 end of service year award.
