Rostro De Cristo, Inc
Goal of Program
Rostro de Cristo mission is to inspire a lifelong commitment to a faith that works for justice through transformative, intercultural experiences living the Gospel of Christ in solidarity with marginalized communities. The program invites participants to: be in relationship with Haitians and Dominicans seeking to improve their lives and the lives of their families who live in the sugarcane planations in and around the town of Consuelo. Our participants collaborate with the Scalabrini Sisters and their NGO, ASCALA, supporting these communities in their work to achieve a justice. Our participants live Gospel values focused on a simple lifestyle, building intentional community, serving others, and sharing faith. The emphasis of the RdC program is always on being with the people and forming relationships, which serve as the most powerful and profound means of expressing God's love to each other.
