Plainsong Farm

Goal of Program

This nine month program for young adults, ages 21-30, offers immersive experiences and education in small-scale regenerative agriculture, spiritual practice, Christian learning, entrepreneurship and leadership, and communal living. As a center for farm-based discipleship, we are working to catalyze a culture of Christianity grounded in the stewardship of Creation, and to equip a generation of young leaders able to start and steward institutions at the intersection of discipleship, ecology, justice and health. As a living laboratory, we integrate faith and ecology through immersive, hands-on experiences.

Type of Placement

Young adults will participate in the work of the farm, daily contemplative prayer, land based faith formation with the wider community, seasonal events, garlic planting and special events with national leaders. A course of readings, discussions with the farm’s co-founders, program staff, and guest facilitators will provide experiential learning in regenerative agriculture, justice and reconciliation, and Christian spiritual practice.
