Goal of Program

Amate House is a young-adult (21-29 years of age) service and leadership development program grounded in social justice, faith, and community based in Chicago. Fellows are transformed through faith-based social justice programming, purposeful community living, and direct, full-time professional experience with Chicago area non-profits. Our mission is create life-long social justice advocates.

4 year degree, or equivalent life experience. Ages 21-29 and unmarried

Living Arrangements

Fellows live in one of Amate House’s two residences with 8-11 housemates. Each fellow has a private bedroom.

Training

Social justice, leadership development training, faith formation, beginning with a two-week orientation. Three annual retreats, two in-service events including a three-day anti-racism training.
