Why I want this volunteer experience:
I want to become a volunteer with the Catholic Volunteer Network because I believe in serving others and growing myself in the process. Growing up in Rwanda, I have witnessed how poverty, lack of access and disease affect communities. I am eager to bring my energy, skills and heart to help but while also learning alongside others and responding to the people in need. By volunteering through the Catholic Volunteer Network, I hope to gain new perspectives, strengthen my ability to work with diverse people and in challenging contexts, and contribute to meaningful change. At the same time, I want this experience to shape me, to help me become a better leader, more compassionate, and more committed to making people’s lives better. That is why I am seeking to serve.

Past volunteer experience:
I volunteered at Kabeza Health Post in Rwanda, where I worked closely with nurses and health staff to support patients and daily operations. My role included helping with patient registration, ensuring information was accurate, and guiding patients on accessing follow-up services. I also managed health data systems, fixing errors and helping patients understand their records and health insurance coverage.
