A Note of Gratitude from Sarah Hammel

Dear CVN Members,

For the past six years, Catholic Volunteer Network has been a very important part of my life. Through this community, I have learned so much about the value of relationships, collaboration, justice, equity, creativity, and faith. And for those reasons, this is very difficult news to share.

February 3rd will be my last day with CVN. As many of you know in October my husband and I welcomed our first child Helen Luise. The past few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions as we grow deeper in love with our daughter. Those of you who are parents might know how caring for a child is really a full-time job. Add in a pandemic and limited options for childcare and here we are! I do plan to look for work again sometime in the near future, so please keep me in your prayers as I figure out what is next. For now, I am focused on caring for my daughter.

I would love to stay in touch and see how our paths can cross again. Please feel free to connect via LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarah-hammel/ or my personal email address [email protected].

Thanks to each of you for being an inspiring and supportive presence in my life for so many years. I’m tremendously grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community. I will miss working with you every day, but I’m sure I will find ways to stay connected and look forward to all the good things to come for CVN!

Much love and gratitude,Sarah
