At ARISE Adelante, Mercy Volunteers Mercy Volunteers work in the summer youth program providing social and educational activities. The children and their families have migrated to the United States and have found community in the Rio Grande Valley.

Mercy Volunteers at Mercy Ecospirituality Center (MEC) experience a deep sense of interconnection with the Earth in the mountains of Vermont. Mercy Volunteers offer hospitality for those seeking solace and to refresh their spirit in the beauty of creation. Additionally, they care for sheep, chickens, bees, and a variety of raised garden beds.

In the spirit of mutuality, Mercy Volunteers serve as Nurses, Medical Assistants, clinic navigators, health educators, public health administrators, and spiritual care providers in hospitals and health clinics.

Mercy Volunteer Corps promotes social change in collaboration with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas focusing on the areas of critical concern: women, immigration, racism, non-violence, and care for the earth. Mercy Volunteers engage in compassionate service, social justice, spiritual growth, and a smile lifestyle in community for a summer or year commitment. Volunteers receive housing, transportation, stipends, retreats, and health insurance. Additionally, volunteers can be eligible for student loan deferment and the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award.

Description: Bethlehem Farm is seeking a full-time volunteer to join our Catholic community in Appalachia that transforms lives through service with the local community and the teaching of sustainable practices. We invite volunteers to join us in living the gospel cornerstones of prayer, simplicity, community, and service. Caretakers coordinate work sites, interact with volunteers during their visit, maintain the farm, and assume other roles serving with the local community. Some great parts of being a Caretaker are stimulating work (from growing veggies to repairing roofs to ministering to teens–we're never bored!), beautiful Appalachian surroundings, lasting relationships with West Virginian neighbors, and the variety of life skills you’ll learn. Benefits include stipend, local/organic meals, vehicle use, and possibility of AmeriCorps education award. Minimum
