Happy Thanksgiving from Catholic Volunteer Network!
The Thanksgiving holiday reminds us to sit back and say thank you to those who have made an impact on our lives. And we at Catholic Volunteer Network have much to be grateful for!
First we would like to give a big thanks to the thousands of volunteers currently serving within our Network. We are inspired by their commitment to the poor. Many of these volunteers are foregoing their ususal Thanksgiving celebrations with their families to spend time with the communities they are serving. This is a powerful witness of simplicity and solidarity – and we are grateful for the life of service they have chosen.
We would also like to thank those who support these volunteers – program staff, volunteers families and friends, churches, campus ministers, and local communities. Your love and encouragement has enabled these volunteers to make great strides in ending poverty and making the world a more just and peaceful place.
So, on this Thanksgiving, we at Catholic Volunteer Network would like to give thanks for all of you! May you, your families, and your communities be blessed.
