Description: Franciscan Mission Service, based in Washington DC, is looking to immediately fill the Program Manager position with a dynamic individual passionate about global mission work and the transformative effect of service.This full-time position is primarily responsible for the facilitation and international mission experience, domestic based volunteer program in DC, and short-term mission trips. The Program Manager brings their experience and enthusiasm to shape and lead formation programs, provide support to missioners, and coordinate logistical needs.The ideal candidate has cross-cultural experience, strong communication skills, and an appreciation for Franciscan values and Catholic Social Teaching. Description: Friends of San Lucas (FOSL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to generating support for the Mission in San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. Local leadership is at the center of our work and we support community-led solutions to community-identified challenges.
Long-Term Volunteers (LTVs) are full-time volunteer positions, based in the community of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. Successful candidates serve as liaisons between visiting groups and community members by providing Spanish interpretation and accompanying visiting groups to service and education sites. There are typically 5-8 participants that make up the LTV team, and they report to Visitor Program staff based in San Lucas. The minimum commitment for this position is three months and there is no cost to participate. Meals, shared accommodation, and transportation to San Lucas is provided. With flexible start dates, successful candidates just need to get themselves to Guatemala City!

Description: Andre House (AH) is a vibrant ministry of the Congregation of Holy Cross serving the people of downtown Phoenix. Since 1985, AH is a center of hospitality and services for people who are experiencing homelessness. Named after St. Andre Bessette, a brother in the Congregation of Holy Cross, AH exists to make God known, loved, and served through the works of mercy. AH serves our "guests" with their primary evening meal six days a week and provides other important services to this community including the supply of clothing, access to showers and hygiene alternatives, laundry service, storage lockers, and advocacy/referrals to partner agencies.

Plant, mulch, weed, and other seasonal farm tasks
Harvest, clean and pack seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, berries and flowers
Feed and care for alpacas and chickens
Gather, clean and process eggs
Maintain coops, barns and pastures
Learn the different aspects of fiber which include skirting, carding, dyeing, knitting, spinning, weaving, crocheting and felting (winter months)
Use your skills to create fiber products (winter months)
Assist at the local farmers market
Partake in monthly enrichment activities
Present a capstone project of your choice at the end of your experience
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license
Willingness to learn and the ability to self-direct
Physically fit, capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
Prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions
Eligible to work in the U.S.
