Each month approximately 120 new volunteer profiles are posted on our website by individuals that are interested in finding a service program. You can search through those profiles and contact any that look to be a good match for your program. When using the search engine below, we recommend keeping your options broad and searching by one or two fields only.

One of the most valuable tools available to members, our resource library features the very best in materials on all aspects of faith-based volunteer programs that you can use to strengthen your program. From volunteer recruitment, diversity and anti-racism tools, sample volunteer development materials, information on successful program management, volunteer reflection guides and much more. Many of these materials have been provided by Catholic Volunteer Network member programs. Check back on this site frequently, as materials are updated on a regular basis.
On this page, you can post a new urgent volunteer/mission opportunity here to alert potential volunteers of openings within your program. Your opportunity posting will automatically expire after three months, and will be tagged with your programs contact information. Please keep in mind that this section is for volunteer opportunities only, paid positions will be removed from this listing. We invite our members to complete this 15-minute Compensation and Benefits Survey. In the coming months, we will combine the results of this survey to a create the Salary and Benefits Field Report, which will be made available to Catholic Volunteer Network members. The report will help us all learn more about the field of faith-based service. You may find it particularly useful when assessing your own staffing structure or benefits.
All questions in the survey are optional, but we encourage you to respond as thoroughly and accurately as possible to make the results more useful to our community. Information about program benefits, staff salaries, and budgets are included in the survey, so we strongly recommend that it is completed by a director, HR department, or other person with access to this information. We request that only one survey is submitted by each organization.
Each fall, over 150 staff members of faith-based volunteer programs, campus personnel, and other partners gather for the National Conference on Faith-Based Service. Hosted in a different location each year, the National Conference is an opportunity for those involved in faith-based service to come together to learn new skills, share their experience and expertise, and network with their colleagues.
Each year we feature a series of keynote speakers and offer participants the opportunity to attend valuable workshops on all aspects of program management and operation. Catholic Volunteer Network is the convener of this annual event, and welcomes a variety of partners and sponsors to join.
Since 1963, Catholic Volunteer Network has been a resource for those involved in faith-based service and lay mission. This three-day workshop will equip new volunteer program staff members and programs in the early formation stages with the tools necessary to start and run a successful and sustainable volunteer program.
