Fellows serve in nonprofits, schools, and ministries supporting under-resourced communities while engaging in Catholic Social Teaching and intensive leadership training.

Amate House develops young leaders into lifelong social justice advocates, fostering a more just and loving society. As it nears 40 years, the need for service remains critical. To adapt to evolving volunteer trends, Amate House is preparing to reshape its mission for a new generation.

The Program Director will lead this transition, managing the current program while working with the Executive Director and Board to reimagine its future. The ideal candidate has expertise in holistic formation, strategic planning, and understanding the spiritual and social needs of today’s young adults.

Description: In partnership with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, members of Mercy Volunteer Corps enter into relationships with people who are experiencing injustices, in any form. In a spirit of mutuality, volunteers cultivate mercy and justice in the world by embracing compassionate service, social justice, spirituality and a simple lifestyle in community.

The Community Coordinator works with a team to recruit, select, place, and support volunteers for this national and international volunteer program. The Community Coordinator supports and challenges full-time volunteers living in communities and serving with people who are marginalized and experiencing injustices. This position is highly collaborative and requires domestic and international travel and flexible working hours at times.

Description: Friends of San Lucas (FOSL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to generating support for the Mission in San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. Local leadership is at the center of our work and we support community-led solutions to community-identified challenges.

Long-Term Volunteers (LTVs) are full-time volunteer positions, based in the community of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala. Successful candidates serve as liaisons between visiting groups and community members by providing Spanish interpretation and accompanying visiting groups to service and education sites. There are typically 5-8 participants that make up the LTV team, and they report to Visitor Program staff based in San Lucas. The minimum commitment for this position is three months and there is no cost to participate. Meals, shared accommodation, and transportation to San Lucas is provided. With flexible start dates, successful candidates just need to get themselves to Guatemala City!

Description: Seton Teaching Fellows (STF) is a paid year of professional missionary service that is radically evangelizing through urban education.

Salary and Benefits: No fundraising is required. STFs receive a monthly stipend of $1,200. Our program provides housing, utilities, and relocation for a low cost of living. Fellows have access to loan forbearance, educational grants, and healthcare if necessary.

STFs teach catechesis and provide support at all our schools. They also participate in intentional community, formation, and a sacramental life.

Description: Andre House (AH) is a vibrant ministry of the Congregation of Holy Cross serving the people of downtown Phoenix. Since 1985, AH is a center of hospitality and services for people who are experiencing homelessness. Named after St. Andre Bessette, a brother in the Congregation of Holy Cross, AH exists to make God known, loved, and served through the works of mercy. AH serves our "guests" with their primary evening meal six days a week and provides other important services to this community including the supply of clothing, access to showers and hygiene alternatives, laundry service, storage lockers, and advocacy/referrals to partner agencies.

The Associate Director of Formation is a key member of the administrative team, with responsibilities for the essential elements of the human formation and the development of the Cor team, who provide the backbone of the service model. Description: The Augustinian Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova is seeking to employ an Executive Director for the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of the Poor A.D.R.O.P.), a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization that operates under the auspices of the Augustinian Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova. Reporting to the Director of Justice & Peace for the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova, the Executive Director will be responsible for overall strategic, financial, and operational management of the organization.

Description: Interns work approximately 35-40 hours per week week including some weekends and holidays. Internships usually last six months up to one year. Responsibilities include:

Plant, mulch, weed, and other seasonal farm tasks
Harvest, clean and pack seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, berries and flowers
Feed and care for alpacas and chickens
Gather, clean and process eggs
Maintain coops, barns and pastures
Learn the different aspects of fiber which include skirting, carding, dyeing, knitting, spinning, weaving, crocheting and felting (winter months)
Use your skills to create fiber products (winter months)
Assist at the local farmers market
Partake in monthly enrichment activities
Present a capstone project of your choice at the end of your experience

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver’s license
Willingness to learn and the ability to self-direct
Physically fit, capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
Prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions
Eligible to work in the U.S.
