Supported by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Catholic Volunteer Network’s Sisters INSPIRE is a two-year project (beginning April 2021 and ending May 2023) intended to disrupt the white dominant cultural narrative embedded in community service and uplift models of faith-based service that better support volunteers from diverse backgrounds and promote community partnership.
- Innovation - Convene a Leadership Cohort of 3 Sisters-sponsored CVN member programs to assess and share innovative DEI strategies through collaborative pathway modeling, developed by the Cornell Office for Research on Evaluation
- Education - Equip staff and volunteers of CVN member programs with training and resources focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning (MELs)
- Evaluation – Maximize CVN’s collective learning and broad-scale impact by providing opportunities for data collection and best-practice sharing across the network
Sisters INSPIRE will leverage CVN’s culture of collaboration through all aspects of the project.
Sisters Leadership Cohort
Sisters INSPIRE is convening a Sisters Leadership Cohort comprised of 3 Sisters-sponsored CVN member programs who are piloting innovative strategies to practice their commitment to racial justice and diversity. Each member program will receive in-depth support and customized coaching to strengthen their practices that interrupt the status quo. Cohort participants will be able to map their theory of change, develop measures to assess impact, and collect feedback from key stakeholders that will continually transform their ways of doing ministry as usual.
CVN is thrilled to welcome Loretto Volunteers, St. Joseph Worker Program - St. Paul, and Vincentian Mission Corps to our Sisters Leadership Cohort! Special thanks to CVN's Membership and Racial Justice and Diversity Committee for supporting the selection process.
