Norbertine Volunteer Community

Goal of Program

Our goal is to serve alongside and on behalf of those who are most vulnerable in our local community. As Norbertine Volunteer Community members our Christian service and life is focused by the core values of Community (Communio), Action (Actio), Contemplation (Contemplatio), and Stability of Place (Stabilitas Loci). Taken from the life witness of our sponsors, the Order of Canons Regular of Premontre (Norbertines), these core values shape our volunteer community members for life in an intentional community that embodies simplicity of life, environmentally sustainable living practices, and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Volunteers serve in a variety of non-profit agencies and educational programs within the economically challenged and ethnically diverse Three Corners Neighborhood where they live.
