Program Timing: As Soon As Possible / Location: St. Mary-of-the-Woods, IN

Join our 2021 fall intern cohort! White Violet Center for Eco-Justice is accepting applications for up to eight interns for our program which begins in mid-August and ends just before Christmas. Located at beautiful Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, WVC is 80 miles west of Indianapolis. You’ll find USDA certified farmland with two high tunnels and two greenhouses, an orchard, a berry patch, a classified forest, alpacas, chickens, flower garden and farm store.

While you’re here you’ll be partaking in hands-on environmental and sustainability work alongside our experienced and dedicated team who will teach you by doing. This is not a classroom study but actual farm labor that will educate you on what it takes to grow food and raise animals.

WVC, established in 1996 by the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, is teaching, caring, inspiring for all creation. The grounds that are home to WVC are also the motherhouse for the Sisters of Providence. Be prepared to interact with this lively and vibrant group of women who are excited to get to know our interns now that they are fully vaccinated for COVID.

We also have opportunities for individual internships if the fall dates do not work for you.
