Mercy Neighborhood Ministry and Vincentian Mission Corps – Americorps Award available

The Vincentian Mission Corps is looking for a volunteer to serve at Mercy Neighborhood Ministry beginning August 15, 2020. Mercy Neighborhood Ministry focuses on community health and access in the communities served by Mercy hospitals and clinics in St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson and Lincoln Counties. The VMC Volunteer will assist with maintaining the extensive resource list, attend public health meetings as a representative of Mercy Neighborhood Ministry, and assist the team with various projects. INTEREST IN MEDICAL FIELD PREFERRED.

Vincentian Mission Corps members live in St. Louis in a community with 3-5 other volunteers. Our volunteers learn about Vincentian spirituality, faith, simple living, and social justice (particularly racial justice work in St. Louis). VMC members receive housing, a monthly food and living stipend, transportation, professional development, health insurance if needed, potential student loan deferment, and a $6000 Americorps Education Award upon successful completion of the program.
