A Mercy Volunteer is needed as a social justice coordinator at St. Francis of Assisi parish, coordinating social justice ministry in both the school and the parish through the school’s curriculum, parish activities, and community outreach. St. Francis of Assisi is a Catholic church and school that serves Northeast Baltimore. A hallmark of the parish has been its commitment to social justice. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to design educational events to enhance the students’ understanding of various cultures and careers as part of the school’s International Baccalaureate program.

Mercy Volunteers live in community and commit to simple living, spiritual growth, and compassionate service. Mercy Volunteer Corps provides housing, transportation, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and more. Volunteers will have a professional mentor and will participate in multiple retreats throughout the year of service.
